Senior Desktop Support Technican - Electronic/Algo Trading House Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 + Benefits + Bonus Location:LondonCity A major player in the Electronic Trading arena is looking to hire a Desktop Support Technician to join their Infrastructure services team that support software and hardware across the trading organisation. The technician will manage the entire lifecycle of problems and incidents, ensuring solutions are provided efficiently to high value users. Experience supporting a similar electronic trading/low latency trading environment would be ideal (particularly Equities). Ideal skill set: * Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to build rapport with internal customers * Strong knowledge of Windows (XP/7), Office, Active Directory, Windows Server * Good hardware knowledge, across PC's, laptops, blackberrys & connectivity * Good knowledge of Network Protocols and troubleshooting (eg tcp/ip) * Citrix * VMware * Altiris or similar endpoint client management tools * Remedy for managing incidents flow * Lotus Domino * Disaster recovery The organisation is driven by technology and its products and trading platforms rely heavily on the infrastructure they leverage, therefore it is important that this person appreciates the importance of moving quickly to identify and solve problems. Due to the nature of the organisation whilst technical skills are important, equally so is finding someone who is able to build good rapport with both internal customers and the infrastructure team, therefore attitude and enthusiasm will also be key.
