Desktop Support - Linux

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a LINUX EMPHASIS DESKTOP SUPPORT CONSULTANT to join our client in Cupertino, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Building, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Linux, Windows and Mac desktops and laptops.
- Assist in the development, implementation and execution of internal and industry standards, practices and processes for security, server hardware, operating system configuration and software.
- Provide and maintain hardware/software support for Linux/Windows/Mac infrastructure, including loading and patching operating systems, enhancing operating system and application security.
- Provide support for the install, maintenance and customization for Linux Ubuntu workstations.
- Research product and technical data for ongoing projects.
- User account administration.
- Software and license installation.
- Application debugging.
- Install and maintain 3rd party software and licensing.

Job Qualifications:

- Understanding of VPNs and Firewalls.
- Understanding of network protocols and architecture.
- Experience deploying remote operating systems and applications.
- Experience administering cloud-based solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast paced environment.
