Desktop Support Engineer

We are urgently looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join my client's small but dynamic team. In this position you will be responsible for providing staff with technical support of Windows and Apple computers, applications and related technology.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INVOLVE THE FOLLOWING:

- Provide advice and guidance on systems and computer use
- Maintain the network environment, working with 3rd parties to resolve and issues when required
- Assigning assets to employees and setting up new starters with hardware and system access
- Ensure licences, antivirus and systems are updated as necessary
- Enquire and obtain new assets for the company when required
- Provide support to new starters and employees on training of tools and systems as needed
- Rebuild PC's for new users
- Manage employee access to systems, drives and other IT information
- Assist with other projects as required

TO BE SUITABLE YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERTISE:

- A minimum of 3 years experience in Desktop Support working for a large company in Australia
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with strong emphasis on Windows 7 and 8, Microsoft Office 2010 and 2013
- Previous experience with the technical administration, support and maintenance of Atlassian Confluence & Jira is an advantage
- PC hardware set-up and configuration experience
- Client facing experience is highly regarded
- Ability to problem solve technical issues
- Experience with Google Apps is ideal
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is required
- Australian Citizen preferred
