DESKTOP SUPPORT ENGINEER
3 MONTH CONTRACT
MADRID
ROLE PURPOSE
Ensures delivery of proactive and reactive IT support services, work requests and projects on the desktop environment to agreed SLAs and assists in the development and implementation of the desktop strategy.
DAILY DUTIES
- Handling of Requests made by users to service desk that service desk is not able to handle
- Incident made by users to service desk that service desk is not able to handle
- Support by phone/E-mail/SMS and On Site
- Desktop support, upgrade and error handling
- Laptop support, upgrade and error handling
- Setup and test of new hardware
- Hardware recycling/dispose
- Hardware advice what to buy and where to buy in MyNokiaPurchase
- Assist in the use of MyNokiaPurchase
- Moving of Hardware physical and logistics
- Making new Request for users
- Nokia mobile support (Phone/config) drivers to install/PC-suite, etc...
- Services when repair of hardware, move to and from to HW-point
- Backup/restore/recovery help .snapshot, network unplugged mobility
- Microsoft product (Support)
- BBCA tuner software support
- Support for Video equipment in meeting rooms, etc
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- A committed team player with at least two years experience in a customer facing IT support role
- Have the ability to approach technical problems in a thorough and logical manner
- Have good communication and presentation skills
- Be a valued team player
- Be trustworthy and self-motivated
- Broad knowledge in the following areas:
o Microsoft Operating Systems including Windows XP and Windows7
o Microsoft Office Suites including Office 2000, 2003 & 2010
o Remote access technologies such as Juniper Secure Access
o IP Networking (DNS, DHCP and associated technologies)
