Desktop Support Engineer - Dublin - €16-18ph - 4 weeks

Position: IT Desktop Support
Location: Dublin 18, Ireland
Hours:37.5 hour week - standard working hours

Role:
Required to work at our client site in Dublin for the IT provisioning role which will include the following:

1.Refresh swap/retrieval
a.End user coordination
b.System deployment, swap, data transfer & retrieval
c.Quarantine of returned systems
d.Preparation for return/hot swap/redeployment/disposal
2.New hire/contractor provisioning
3.Miscellaneous end user IT equipment requests
4.Training room setup
5.Asset requests for replacements
6.Return of equipment
7.Termination - asset collection services
8.Asset management services
9.Performance Measurement & Reporting

Technical and skill requirements:
oImaging of Desktops and Laptops
oAbility to support - Mac OS X, M/S Windows 7 and Linux
oGood awareness of Linux/Mac OS X
oM/S office
oAnti Virus software support and awareness
oNetworking skills and TCP/IP awareness and understanding
oResolve assigned Incidents, problems, and service requests
oPerform timely delivery of service per the processes outlined in the Statement of Work
oResolve the problem by using a systematic troubleshooting approach and appropriate
technical documentation, diagnostic, and maintenance procedures

Essential experience/Qualifications:
oPreferably educated to degree level or equivalent
oGood organisational skills
oAbility to work well on their own

Desired:
oLinux experience/certification
oITIL awareness
oMCP's (MCSE/MCSA)
oACSP

oAbility to work in EU (Ireland)
