Desktop Support Engineer

Yoh has a career enhancing contract opportunity for an experienced DESKTOP SUPPORT ENGINEER to join our premiere client in Philadelphia, PA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to and Remedy moderately complex customer inquiries dispatched by the Customer Support Center concerning technical support issues on a variety of hardware and software problems specific to technology
- Document all resolutions in the Customer Support Center Ticketing Tool and meets all standards for Time to resolve as dictated by Management for Performance.
- Record inquiries, repair, and service requests, resolve or direct requests to appropriate technical area or vendor, track status and follows up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Escalate to or consult with Sr. Staff when solution is unclear.
- Become and remain technically current with all company Standard deployed desktop personal computing technologies.
- Obtain proficiency in the use of our Customer Support Center related diagnostic and record keeping tools and meets all standards for Time to resolve as dictated by Management for Performance.
- Perform configuration and deployment of Mobile Devices, Laptops, Thin Clients, and Desktops and associated equipment according to schedule. This will require heavy lifting and moving of equipment.
- Performs Procurement, deployment, support and disposal of the software and hardware environment.
- Performs various Asset Control tasks on and off site (eg - Asset inventory scans, Freight/Courier scheduling, Reporting and Analytics, Asset disposal duties and certificate maintenance.)
- Report problems with procedures and make suggestions for improvement

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- A+ certification is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the basic his highly preferred hardware and software products and problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
- Requires excellent analytical and communications skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with client and IT staff and vendors.
- Working Knowledge of both Windows 7 and XP operating systems.'
- Working knowledge of Enterprise tools used to deploy and image endpoint devices. (eg - SCCM, HP CAE
- Two to Five (2-5) years of IT work experience in computer systems or support.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Knowledgeable of and a practitioner of Incident Management and Request Fulfillment as practiced within ISD.
