Desktop Support Analysts/Engineers - New York - USA

Digitech have been appointed by one of the world's largest and high profile online Media organisations to appoint a number of 1st/2nd Line Support Engineers to work in their New York Offices.

DUTIES

- Providing 1st and 2nd Line Support of all aspects of the Desktop Environment.
- A large variety of technical support tasks at many levels.
- Providing application support for in House developed web applications, feed services and content management systems.
- Building and installing PC's, telephones and peripherals.
- Deploy/Upgrade hardware and software.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Audio-visual Equipment.
- Assess needs for performance upgrades in the desktop environment.
- Provide support for Remote Users.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Maintain Active Directory infrastructure, create accounts, Groups, GPO etc.
- Office facilities management in remote sites.

KEY SKILLS

- Good experience of managing build, installation and support of PC's.
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Telecommunications, TCP/IP, Internet Technologies a must.
- Must be a Team Player and have interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new skills and adapt quickly to new systems.
- Willingness to help and advice other members of staff with varying degrees of technical skills.
- Good Understanding of IT and its application in a working business environment.
- Ability to communicate with and manage demanding high workload users.
- Need to be able to understand and communicate at a technical level with 3rd parties and web development teams.
- Self-motivated and a desire to learn.
- Enjoys problem solving.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS- - Desktop - Windows XP/7, Mac OS 10 (Useful), IOS Devices, Android, Windows Mobile.
- Server - Windows 2008r2, Linux, Solaris.
- Software - Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook 2010, Adobe Suite, Video Software, Design Applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash etc.), Adobe suite, Java, IE, Firefox, Chrome, AD Domain Services(DNS/DHCP/WINS), good understanding of networks in particular TCP/IP.

You will be required to work extra hours to complete urgent issues and tasks, as well as project related tasks that need to be run out of hours.
