Desktop Support Analyst

We currently have a requirement for a Desktop Support Analyst to undertake short-term contracts to last three months in duration. We are looking for individuals who possess the skills to undertake any of the following typical deployment roles; Build Room, Deployment, Floor-Walking and End-User Support.
The role will be based in London and you will be expected to travel between sites as part of your role. You will possess at least three years working experience within a deployment role and be available for interview at short notice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Installing new hardware, including desktops, laptops, monitors' and docking stations, at specified locations.
- Configuring VDI deployments.
- Reconfiguring the user's profile and settings to new deployed machine/VDI.
- Performing Pre-Deployment checks with the users and identifying any potential issues relating to the rollout project.
- Floor walk and provide 2nd and 3rd level fault diagnosis/resolution to newly deployed users.
- Providing fault analysis to various core operating systems, platforms and applications, provide support and apply desktop fault resolution for the approved application suite.
- Diagnose hardware faults and provide both remote assistance and desk side support to various business areas within the support remit.
- Provide expertise in all aspects of IT desktop fault function and deployment of all new kit and peripherals under the Installs, Moves and changes environment.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

- Minimum of three years of Desktop Support experience within a Windows based environment.
- Experience in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environments.
- Outstanding customer service, presentation, organisational & communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 including Outlook, Project & Visio.
- Proficient in Blackberry usage & support.
- Experience of supporting VPN and remote connection tools, in relation to Broadband and 3G technologies.
- Experience providing remote fault analysis, via verbal communication and IT remote control tools.
- Active Directory/QARS user account administration experience.
- Previous experience working in a banking environment desirable.
- Previous experience of working on a large scale rollout deployment project desirable.
