Desktop Support | 3 Month Contract | $30 per hour

THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking an experience IT Professional to take responsibility for providing timely and effective support (phone based, remote login, and face to face) to all levels of the organisation including divisional and national offices

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

- Liaising with third party service providers where appropriate to resolve issues
- Ensuring all support requests are handled in a polite, friendly, helpful, and efficient manner
- Ensuring communication with relevant staff, including senior management, when appropriate
- Responsibility for managing user accounts, including creating, modifying and disabling accounts
- Responsibility for ensuring the integrity of the security of the organisation's systems and the integrity of data maintained on the systems
- Responsibility for, and involvement in, IT and system projects as determined by management from time to time.
- This will require good communication skills with different departments within and outside of the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

Our client is seeking an experienced professional with experience in Desktop Support, Networking and some element of systems administration. They have an external provider that manages their systems so this role will involve working with them closely at times.

OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS WILL INCLUDE:

- Knowledge of operating systems - Windows XP/Windows 7, Server 2003/2008
- Knowledge of Active Directory and MS Exchange 2010
- Excellent computer skills, especially MS Office and databases
- A fundamental understanding of networking technologies and topologies
- A good understanding of basic PC hardware
- Competence with the use of Multifunctional devices
- A Solid understanding of Citrix virtualisation technologies

This role will run from the 18th of November throughout the Christmas period with a shutdown from the 25th of December until the 2nd of January. It is expected the role will continue until the end of January. This role will not be suitable for someone who intends to take extended holidays during this time.
