Desktop Specialist- Northampton- £38k

My client is a national organisation based in Northampton, undergoing significant growth and investing heavily in their IT systems. They are looking to bring on board a desktop specialist to administer their desktop environment across around 400 sites nationwide.

The ideal candidate will be working in a desktop support environment at 2nd/3rd line level, looking to make the step up to a fully fledged 3rd line post encompassing builds, imaging, packaging and deployments. There will be ample time invested for your development in this role working with a range of leading edge technologies.

You will have exposure to SCCM, Altiris, Landesk or a similar desktop environment, with a real focus on the desktop side of things, as the server environment is looked after by a separate team. Scripting skills would be advantageous in vb or powershell.
