Main Purpose of the Job: To work on development projects using embedded software.

Main Tasks of the Job:

1. Design, code and test and debug software for AD Product range using embedded software.

1 Assist in the commissioning of hardware through the provision of software routines.

1 Maintenance of existing designs.

1 Technical assessment of competitor product.

1 Assessment and prototyping of new technologies.

1 Ensuring designs are correctly stored, archived and that traceability is maintained.

1 Reporting progress against objectives to the Senior Developer.

1 Producing interim, beta and production releases of software.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong Java

JNI

Working knowledge of C, C++

Robust Design Techniques

Debugging Techniques

TCP/IP

Following advantageous:

Video/Audio

MPEG4/JPEG compression technologies

FFMPEG

Development of tool kits
