Desktop Services Engineer - Lyon, France - 3 Months

Next Ventures are currently hiring for a Desktop Services Engineer for a 3 month project based in Lyon, France.

Duration - 3 months + extensions
Location - Lyon, France.
Rate - Negotiable
Language - French and English
Start Date - ASAP

Role:

* Monitor and manage support desk/operations.
* Provide Level 1/2 desktop support.
* Coordinate tasks relating to IT projects; video conferencing support, Desktop deployments, etc.
* Provide professional, thorough, and timely user support including resolving desktop, laptop, printers, and other hardware issues, as well as issues with proprietary software applications.
* Escalation point for moderately complex technical problems.
* Handle emergency after-hours support requests
* Cross-train and direct on-site trainees
* Familiarity with networking terminology and principles
* Strong organizational and customer service skills
* Must be able to take direction from multiple sources and balance more than one project at a time

Required Skills:

* Windows 7, Windows XP, Microsoft Office experience required
* System Imaging and Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with all levels of management.
* Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as part of a team.
* High level of organizational skills and the ability to work in a ticketing system, follow-through and resolve issues.
* Ability to consistency and accurately follow verbal or documented instructions.
* Flexibility to work longer hours as required and to be on call.
* Technical Certifications, A+, Network +, Security+, MCSE, MCITP, MSCA or equivalent a plus.
