Desktop Publisher

A leading Defence company require a Desktop Publisher to join our client's Technical Publication Publishing team in Warton. 12 month contract.

Responsibilities include the receipt and booking in of a variety of different print request jobs from different platforms for a variety of different publication types. Library management (the ability to perform insertions and deletions to manuals), generating receipts for customer deliveries, interfacing with export control and complying with ITAR regulations.

*Key Responsibilities/Key Skills*

- Receipt and booking in a variety of different print request jobs from different platforms for a variety of different publication types
- Desktop Publishing knowledge (Quark, FrameMaker..)
- Knowledge of Publication standards for AvP70, S1000D would be an advantage
- Knowledge of SGML would be an advantage
- Ability to interface with internal/external source provider and internal/external customer
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Library management - ability to perform insertions and deletions to manuals
- Generating receipts for customer deliveries
- Interfacing with export control and complying with regulations
- Complying with ITAR regulations
