For our banking client in Zurich, we are looking for a

Senior Desktop Lead Engineer - Windows System Engineer

Duration: 6months +

Location: Zurich

This role is for a Senior Desktop Lead Engineer who will join highly skilled desktop engineering team responsible for design and produce secure, stable, and with good user experience build for desktop, laptop, VM and tablet based on Microsoft landscape. In this particular role candidate will concentrate on engineering new build based on Windows 10, which will be introduced across the whole bank.

He/She will be required to take business requirements from product management, gather and take into the account all requirements related to bank enterprise architecture and answer to them with technical solutions during engineering process of new Windows10 build releases. The Candidate will be involved in the optimization of the build and work in areas such as performance in the terms of speed to loading applications, overall performance, login times, policy load times, configuration management and vulnerability management. Engineer will take technical lead role in his area and will act as centre of competence for product management, architecture and engineering team.

Skills/Experience:

ü Expert in Windows Engineering (Windows 7 - 10)

ü System management and deployments software (SCCM), MSI and packaging methodologies

ü Knowledge of PowerShell & VBS, Windows Client deployment, Active Directory, especially Group Policies

ü Knowledge of WMI, Windows Server

ü Previous experience of integration work

ü Experience of App-v based application troubleshooting.

ü Experience of working in environment as part of a team supporting or engineering Windows client deployments.

ü Understanding of Enterprise Architecture, virtualization, VDI, hands on experience in Big Environements (50000+ end points)

ü Must have strong technical knowledge of Windows Client Environment and of integrating Clients systems with other core Infrastructure components

ü Familiarity in in-depth troubleshooting of problems with Active Directory and GPO

ü Must have an understanding of the security requirements of deploying a Desktop build within a financial Institution and the ability to interpret security standards and ensure adherence to them

ü Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills,

ü Self-motivated,

ü Able to work with minimal guidance

ü Have the ability to own problems through to resolution

ü Ability to collaborate across a diverse global team.

ü Experience of Virtualizing Desktop Environment and Citrix technologies

ü Knowledge of PKIs

ü Knowledge of ITIL processes
