DESKTOP IMAGING SPECIALIST

SKILLS: Windows 7 and 8.1, MS Office 2010 and 2013, HP Laptops, Experience imaging and deploying PC's and Laptops for Enterprise Organization

SUMMARY:

IMMEDIATE contract need (3 months). Our client is seeking a Desktop Imaging Specialist who will be responsibile for testing, loading and deployment of Americas Desktop, Laptop and tablet images and packaging/shipping newly imaged hardware to end users across the Americas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Work with the Americas Desktop Support team and IT Service Delivery manager to coordinate system refresh logistics
-To maintain a high degree of customer service for all hardware imaging tasks and adhere to all service management principles
-To understand all end user requirements for transitioning to newly imaged systems, including capturing and implementing individual specifications for additional software, mapped drives, printer drivers, RDP connections, and other per-user considerations
-Ensure all CMDB hardware records are up to date and accurate within ServiceNow CRM, and regular updates provided to the customer throughout the imaging cycle
-Provide basic technical troubleshooting through the hardware imaging and data transfer process
-Communicate effectively and professionally with non-IT and IT specialists alike to ensure customer and service level standards are met successfully
-Deploy new equipment to users as required
-Escalate issues to the Service Delivery Manager, with the Americas Desktop Support Team as appropriate in a timely fashion
-Provide updates where required to Service Delivery Manager
-Work with vendors to schedule and repair end user hardware issues where appropriate (HP, Microsoft for example)

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Completed or working towards Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related work experience
-2+ years' working experience as a Desktop Imaging Engineer and/or related field
-Experience installing base images with Windows OS 7 and 8.1, Office 2010 and 2013, Printer drivers, IE, Adobe reader, mapping network drives, Bitlocker encryption, and other proprietary software installations
-Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines when required
-Understanding of and experience in Software Installation Processes and methodologies
- Experience with commonly used hardware, software, operating systems, applications and technologies used by the company, such as:
-MS Windows 7 and 8.1
-MS Office 2010 and 2013
-Active Directory user account knowledge
-MS Exchange user mailbox knowledge
-HP computers and printers, Microsoft SurfacePro 3 tablets, remote access protocol and antivirus solutions.
-Knowledge of Trend Micro Antivirus protection is a plus
-Webex Conferencing administration is a plus
