Beacon Hill Technologies has a 6 month contract opportunity available for an experienced Application Packager in Cleveland, OH.  Our client does prefer local candidates.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Four year college degree or advanced Windows/desktop certification (eg MCSA Windows 7, MCITP Windows 7 Enterprise Desktop Administrator) with practical work experience relative to desktop, laptop, and other information delivery platforms. A minimum of 10 years work experience in application integration and desktop support. Significant expertise in the distribution of packaged applications to the desktop environment with expert knowledge of and practical experience with virtual desktop infrastructure technologies and application virtualization. Advanced skills in desktop integration technologies and toolsets including Symantec Altiris or Microsoft SCCM, Flexera Admin Studio (Wise), Citrix, Active Directory, AppSense, Intel Security (McAfee), Windows Update process, Citrix, Windows registry settings, Windows native API, VPN desktop connectivity, Powershell Scripting, and desktop/laptop encryption strategies. Exposure to .NET development, SQL, and the application management life cycle. Experience with coaching, mentoring, and training a dedicated team in the development of policies, standards, procedures, and processes for Workstation configuration and deployment. Forward-looking, innovative mind-set, with a desire to continuously improve solutions and adopt emerging technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Brings senior level expertise and mature leadership skills to a collaborative team responsible for the definition and configuration of desktop/laptop/other end user device operating system standards, engineering methodologies, and best practices; collaborates with peers in TSS to create, administer, and optimize the desktop solution; works with management to help establish product portfolios, roadmaps and direction and actively suggests changes that will enhance desktop operations and user experience. Evaluates alternatives for deploying, patching, and supporting applications in a managed environment. Administers the Windows user profile management infrastructure and leads the team in the design, creation, and management of physical and virtual Workstation images. Provides third level support for diagnosing Windows desktop issues and performs root cause analysis; provides guidance and instructions to first and second level support on the management of known production system problems. Adheres to values, department standards, and problem and change management policies.
