Desktop Deployment Technical Lead - Design & Migration: Windows 7, Exc

DESKTOP DEPLOYMENT TECHNICAL LEAD - DESIGN AND MIGRATION:
A large IT Consultancy are currently looking to enage a lead technical consultant for a large (10k+ users) Win 7 desktop deployment for a highly secure government account. This is a high profile, high pressure deployment and requires a resource who has had successful experience of designing and overseeing deployment of high volume desktop deployments recently including - successful experience of co-ordinating both Back Office and technical migration teams through deployments. 

This role involves acting as the Technical Lead across client sites. (there is a project manager assigned to this workstream so we are not looking for a PM)

DELIVERABLES AND SKILLS:

- Provide the end to end Deployment Design (this would include the Migration Approach, Messaging migration and User experience)
- Manage the Migration process and be the escalation point for issues/defects encountered during the deployment
- Provide guidance throughout the Pilot and Deployment from a technical perspective for the migrations
- Provide customer facing input to planning sessions and attend customer meetings prior to and during the deployment
- This is a key role in the successful deployment as it involves co-ordinating the different technical elements of the solution to bring them together into one stream
- To have knowledge of Lotus Notes/Exchange and account migrations; desktop build experience and experience of managing technical resource through large volume migrations as well as this the Resource should be adept at customer facing roles, where the ability to articulate the end to end desktop solution is critical.
- Full life cycle experience is highly desirable as you will be involved from the design stage through to pilot and roll out. 

A live SC Clearance would be highly desirable to facilitate a faster on-boarding as this is an urgent requirement.
