Desktop (Configuration) Technician

ABOUT THE JOB:

We are looking for experienced Configuration (Desktop) Technician who has hands on experience working with Desktop, Laptops and Servers.  You should have at least 2 years of hardware and software support along with an active A+ Certification.

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:

- Unpacks appropriate CPU (Central Processing Unit), hardware and software and then installs each at default or to custom specifications.
- Test configured systems for appropriate functioning and troubleshoots for any errors found.
- Completes all required documentation of installation including a quality assurance sheet to ensure accurate billing with respect to warranty contract, proper processing of defective products and timely vendor returns and reimbursements.
- Works with Lead Technicians on difficult issues to solve problems or configurations

REQUIREMENTS:

- 2+ years of hands Desktop, Laptop, and Server support
- Must be open to working multiple shifts 1st 2nd and 3rd shifts are currently open.
- MUST have recent Windows 7 and MS Office experience
- Strong communication, organization and planning, work ethic, client facing and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail is necessary

This is a fast pace corporate work environment.  Individuals are normally able to dress business casual.  In this environment there will be a lot of customer service needed along with the fast-pace challenging setting. Will be times where this person will need to translate technical terms into non-technical language.
