Currently we are looking for a Senior Desktop Configuration engineer to join our client's team in Zurich.

This role is for a Senior Desktop Configuration Engineer who will join highly skilled desktop engineering team responsible for design and produce secure, stable, and with good user experience build for desktop, laptop, VM and tablet based on Microsoft products. In this particular role candidate will concentrate on configuring, managing and troubleshooting Group Policy in a Desktop Evnironment, as well as AppSense infrastructure and configurations for Desktop.

The Role Involves:

Senior Desktop Configuration engineer will be required to take business requirements from product management related to his/her area, and answer to them with proposed Group Policies and/or AppSense configurations. The Candidate will be involved in the optimization of the build and work in areas such as performance in the terms of speed to loading applications, overall performance, login times, policy load times and vulnerability management. Engineer will act as centre of competence in her/his area for product management and from time for operation team and would propose solutions in situations when operations were not able to resolve incident/problem.

Qualifications:

Graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related disciplines or 7 years+ experience in relevant disciplines
Experience of working in environment as part of a team supporting or engineering Windows client deployments.
Understanding of Enterprise Architecture, virtualization, VDI, hands on experience in Big Environements (50000+ end points)
Must have strong technical knowledge of Windows Client Environment and of integrating Clients systems with other core Infrastructure components
Familiarity in in-depth troubleshooting of problems with either Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Chrome or Java (The more items covered the better)
Must have an understanding of the security requirements of deploying a Desktop build within a financial Institution and the ability to interpret security standards and ensure adherence to them
Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, be extremely self-motivated, be able to work with minimal guidance and have the ability to own problems through to resolution.
Ability to collaborate across a diverse global team.
At least 6 years Windows client engineering or experience in desing and deployment complex solution based on Windows
Knowledge of Active Directory, especially Group Policies
Knowledge of AppSense Environmental Manager
Thorough knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7, Windows Server)
Strong Experience of debugging applications on a Windows platform
Knowledge of MSI and packaging methodologies
Knowledge of VBS & PowerShell
Knowledge of Windows Client deployment
Knowledge of WMI
Experience of App-v based application troubleshooting
Previous experience of integration work
Experience of Virtualizing Desktop Environment and Citrix technologies
Knowledge of PKIs
Knowledge of ITIL processes
