Desktop Build System Engineer Win 10

For our banking client in Zurich, we are looking for a

Senior Desktop Lead Engineer

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Location: Zurich

This role is for a Senior Desktop Lead Engineer who will join highly skilled desktop engineering team responsible for design and produce secure, stable, and with good user experience build for desktop, laptop, VM and tablet based on Microsoft landscape. In this particular role candidate will concentrate on engineering new build based on Windows 10, which will be introduced across the whole bank.

You will be required to take business requirements from product management, gather and take into the account all requirements related to bank enterprise architecture and answer to them with technical solutions during engineering process of new Windows10 build releases. The Candidate will be involved in the optimization of the build and work in areas such as performance in the terms of speed to loading applications, overall performance, login times, policy load times, configuration management and vulnerability management.

Skills/Qualifications:

Graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related disciplines or 6 years+ experience in relevant disciplines

Previous hands-on experience in designing and tuning IMAGE for Windows OS

Good experience with Powershell and VBScript (able to write his/her own functions)

Experience with ADK

Experience with WMI

Experience of working in environment as part of a team supporting or engineering Windows client deployments.

Understanding of Enterprise Architecture, virtualization, VDI, hands on experience in Big Environements (50000+ end points)

Must have strong technical knowledge of Windows Client Environment and of integrating Clients systems with other core Infrastructure components

Familiarity in in-depth troubleshooting of problems with Active Directory and GPO

Must have an understanding of the security requirements of deploying a Desktop build within a financial Institution

The ability to interpret security standards and ensure adherence to them

Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills,

Self-motivated and be able to work with minimal guidance - own problems through to resolution

Ability to collaborate across a diverse global team.
