DESKSIDE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN LOWELL, MA CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

We re looking for A+ certified candidates with excellent customer service and communication skills for a service desk position performing tasks such as installing software, data migration, etc. for 200+ users.

OVERVIEW:

- Provides support to end users on a variety of issues.
- Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
- Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
- Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- May involve use of problem management databases and ticketing system.
- Works under immediate supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN AT LEAST ONE DEPLOYMENT PROJECT (no exceptions)
- 1-2 years experience in desktop support
- Windows 7 deployment and migration and troubleshooting experience highly preferred
- Should have background and knowledge in various deployments, such as, Windows XP Win 7 deployment methods and the ability to explain the difference between those methods
- Experience in desktop hardware, operating system, applications and peripheral device deployment and troubleshooting
- Basic understanding on Windows AD and networking technologies
- Knowledge in Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) and Application Compatibility Testing (ACT) tools required
- Experience in image building process
- Knowledge and experience of customer service practices
- Preferred MCP/MCIT certifications
- Good communication skills
