Deskside Support Specialist

About the Job:
We are looking for an experienced Deskside/Desktop Support Operator to be brought on for a 1 month opportunity. We need someone who is qualified in all aspects of hardware and software support especially in XP and Windows 7 environments.

Environment is XP and Office 2007 and Outlook 2007. Will be moving to Windows 7 and Office 2010.

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:

- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
- Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
- Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
- Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
- Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Primary skill set required for Desktop Tech is SOFT SKILL
- Candidates WITH a Dell/HP Warranty Repair Cert WILL GET SPECIAL ATTENTION.
- 1-3 year of experience in an IT environment supporting end users, large end-user environment experience ideal.
- Windows 7 Migration experience
- Ability to troubleshoot Windows issues related to hardware/software

installations. - Experience with installation of both desktop and laptop hardware.
- Server/Network experience (MS Active Directory, MS Server 2003, 2008) on Dell/HP Servers is a plus
- COMPTIA A+ (REQUIRED)
