DESIGNER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Silver Spring, MD

- An exciting and challenging position for a talented individual who will offer exciting, fresh and spirited concepts to a dedicated design team
- Candidate must have the ability to present strong conceptual and impactful designs through consistent execution, quality work and timely delivery of art

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Design and create production-ready artwork for branded and proprietary product packaging
- Collaborate with product development specialists in the development of new concepts
- Coordinate presentation/production scheduling with Creative Manager
- Assist supervisor in the development of creative projects, including style guides
- Create concept boards to demonstrate new product ideas and brand/property packaging initiatives
- Maintain open communications with supervisor at all times
- Inform supervisor in a clear, concise, and timely manner of any unresolved issues
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Must have a design degree along with applied experience in the packaging industry
- Must be proficient in Illustrator 9.0, Photoshop, QuarkXPress and other necessary design programs
- Must be able to interact with a great deal of internal personnel
- Should have strong presentation skills as it will be necessary to present much of the creative work to internal teams
