Designer

Current need for a Designer in the Tulsa, OK area. 3D experience is preferred however, Microstation or AutoCad proficiency will be accepted. Candidate will perform physical design related to high voltage transmission and distribution substations. An Associate degree in drafting and design (manual and/or computer aided) or Associates degree in applied science (AAS) in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering technology is needed. This is a long term contract position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for the development, revision, maintenance and coordination of design drawings, layouts, sketches, and studies as well as other related design work as defined or directed.
- Develop, prepare and coordinate design drawings and sketches and carry to completion for work package issue for construction.
- Prepare and analyze calculations and conduct design studies as required.
- Check final drawings and perform design verification and check manufacturers' drawings and shop details and recommend changes.
- Perform work according to applicable design standards, criteria and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

- Requires an Associate degree in drafting and design (manual and/or computer aided) or Associates degree in applied science (AAS) in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering technology.
- Must be familiar with conventional drafting symbols and drafting methods.
- Must be familiar with and have an aptitude for computer graphics and automated drawing methods and have the ability to distinguish colors.
- Microstation, Autocad or other related CADD application experience required with 3D experience preferred.
- May require moderate overtime hours at given times.
