Designer

Designer/Drafter needed for Midwest power industry company within the engine systems design team with 5 years of experience. The successful candidate must have experience with Solidworks. Will be responsibble for producing a working set of drawings for part/equipment procurement, manufacturing, and assembly. Experience in power generation or capital equipment industry. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Produce a working set of drawings for part/equipment procurement, manufacturing, and assembly including P&IDs, PFDs, Mechanical, Electrical, and C&I drawings. Work closely with engineers to ensure creation of quality drawings.
- Create P create 3D modeling of parts/equipment including piping and electrical cable runs with emphasis to avoid manufacturing and assembly clashes; create 2D detailed drawings and BOMs for procurement, fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, and installation; and comply to ASME Y14.5-2009 and ISA standards.

REQUIREMENTS

- 5 to 7+ yrs of design/drafting experience in heavy industrial equipment
- Experience with Solidworks required.
- Experience in both Mechanical and Electrical detailing.
- Degree in Drafting/Design Technology preferred.
