Design/Senior Design Engineer

This new position comes from an established engineering firm manufacturing large bespoke equipment utilised in the marine and power sectors internationally. With a reputation for high quality products and a continued drive on technical improvement they are seeking an experienced design engineer who will be motivated by a technically challenging role.

They would like an engineer who will be keen to further develop their skills as their products are highly specialist and always bespoke designs to meet customer requests. High in value, these large products are shipped internationally with a strong emphasis on right first time design.

Previous transferable skills to the role include:

- Experience with rotating equipment including: rotor dynamics, hydrodynamic bearings, gearing, transmissions, turbines, generators, clutch or rotating machinery.
- Strong 3D cad skills ideally to include some experience with pro-engineer
- FEA experience
- Any experience with metallurgy will be a plus but is not a requirement
