Design/Modeler Engineer

This position is responsible for creating, maintaining and releasing part numbers for safety and informational plates, films and tags, including nomenclature films, that are represented on all Customer products. Product groups, suppliers and other internal users use these prints and corresponding files for multiple purposes, including the production of parts. The incumbent is responsible for the accuracy, completeness and timely response to requests and serves as a contact point regarding part materials, symbols and standard conformance for plates films and tags. The incumbent is responsible for understanding and correctly applying internal and external standards, regulations and best practices.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and problem solving ability. Previous experience creating layouts and generating new images with Adobe Illustrator and computer aided design (CAD) software is required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in industrial design, engineering or educational equivalent. Two to four years design experience required. Prior experience with Customer Engineering Data Systems and drawing standards is a plus.
