Carbon60 is looking for a Design Engineer to work in Surrey for one of our very prestigious clients. The Design Engineer will be working within the Mechanical Design Teams this opportunity has become available due to additional project workload. The Design Engineer will involve with working with other design engineers to develop and detail working designs for structures and subsystems in 3D Modelling tools using Solidworks 2012 -2013 - 2014. You will also need to be involved in completing drawings to enable the design to be manufactured and supporting the manufacturing team by writing details assembly procedures and technical build information.

The Design Engineer based in Surrey will need to have strong mechanical design background with experience of Solidworks. You will be involved in the development of new and innovative design for structures and sub systems for a complex product with up to 15,000 parts. Ideally this will have been gained from an Aerospace or Space background but strong candidates from a defence, automotive or marine background will be considered. Including interface drawings and PCB board outlines, connectors and develop the bill of materials within the MRP. You will need to have significant current Solidworks Design Experience of a current version from 2012 onwards and be comfortable using PLM systems, ECNs and configuration management tools.
