Mechanical Design Engineer - South Yorkshire - up to £45,000 - Permanent An exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join this well established company at their brilliant location in South Yorkshire. They are well renowned and have won awards for their innovative technologies. This is a fantastic role that will allow you to get really involved in all phases of development from initial concept to manufacturing as well as testing new and modified designs. You will be assisting in the design of their technologies which are applicable to numerous industries including automotive through to renewable energy. You will have previous experience of being responsible for design activity from initial concept through to detailed drawings for manufacture and test, including mechanical loading and classical stress analysis, as well as material and bearing selection. Essential Knowledge / Skills Required: -Engineering Degree or HNC/HND - Knowledge of FEA analysis - Experience in the design of rotating components and assemblies. -Understanding of mechanical engineering principals -Use of high end 3D Solid modelling CAD tools preferably Solidworks (e.g. ProE, Catia) -Low/medium volume production techniques would be a significant advantage. -Understanding of full product design lifecycle would be desirable -You must be eligible to work in the UK.
