Design Engineer - Solidworks (Own Licence) Job

DESIGN ENGINEER needed for an on going Contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Solidworks (Own Licenced Machine Essential)
- Working in a precision engineering environment

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Generate design concepts,and ideas, to achieve and meet specified customer/marketing requirements with guidance and assistance from the Principal Engineers.
- Ensure design concepts are completed, designed for manufacture and optimised for cost
- Generation of technical documentation and specifications when required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Degree, or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline (with knowledge of materials, stress analysis, vibration etc)
- Several years in mechanical design
- Several years using SolidWorks 3D CAD software

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Design optimisation for strength, cost, ease of maintenance etc
- Design/specification of directly relevant systems such as vacuum systems, vibration isolation, electron-optics etc.
