Design Engineer (PTC Creo) Job

DESIGN ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in WAUKESHA, WI.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- 5000 hrs. with PTC Creo 2 (Recent)
- Mechanical Engineering
- Design Engineering

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- As we develop the automation for our Model based Definition and digital threads initiative it will be important to understand the design team needs as well as develop a configuration of start models and setting to enhance the user experience
- Work under the direction of others to help develop a Model Based Definition (MBD) process which provides the engineering design teams a mechanism to deliver model based information to their downstream consumers.
- Assist with the creation of best practice documentation to define modelling (model construction and annotations) to ensure uniformity and consistency in our design output.
- Assist with creation of process documents and guidance for training and support for MBE.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
- Five (5) or more years experience in an engineering role focused on hardware development and product delivery.
- Self-starter with strong initiative
- Working knowledge of Creo annotation sets specifically related to MBD model creation and use.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a global cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills.
- Experience with a variety of engineering design tools and ability to define requirements for the tools.
- Experience in design, documentation and configuration using Creo so to develop an environment for MBD which will enhance the user experience.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with Model Based Definition (MBD) in the design environment.
- Experience with ANSYS or similar mechanical modelling tools.
- Working knowledge the design tools; CETOL, GD&T advisor and DFMpro
