Design Engineer (Product Development) Sheffield

Focusing upon driving next generation products, the Product Design / Development Engineer should have prior experience in the thorough development of products to meet demanding customer requirements.

Ideally coming from a Mechanical Engineering background, the Product Design Engineer should have experience of 3D CAD design (preferably SolidWorks) and experience around CFD / Thermo Dynamics would be advantageous for this Product Design / Development role.

From a test perspective, the Product Design Engineer should have experience and/or be able to carry out tests in the following areas:
- Design and manufacture of test rigs and fixtures
- Cycle Testing
- Abuse Testing
- Pressure Testing
- Vibration Testing
- Random Testing.

In addition, the Product Design Engineer will also need to write product specifications, test plans and validation reports.

Experience in Electronics / Pneumatics / Materials would also be beneficial.

For the successful Mechanical Design Engineer, a salary up to £35,000 is on offer for the successful candidate.

This role is commutable from Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster & Rotherham.
