Design Engineer - North East - 35,000 to 40,000 - Permanent Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. This client is an established manufacturing organisation that are based in the North West. They are a fantastic company and apply their expertise in various sectors worldwide. Resulting from a period of continued growth, they are currently looking to recruit a Design Engineer to work on specialist Mechanical Engineering projects in the Oil & Gas markets. You will be part of a fantastic team and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously for internal and external clients. You will provide engineering for all aspects of the design, manufacture, installation and operation of projects for the oil and gas industry. Typically this includes performance of structural, fatigue, thermal and stress analyses of their products as well as calculations and procedures. Duties include: -Development of software and design tools -Design, assessment and analysis of testing -Advise and liaise with design and production functions within the company -Generate reports, analyses, instructions, procedures, specifications, calculations etc -Gain understanding of the company's products through development projects, investigations, observations, modelling, background reading, data analysis and consultation with experts You will have: -Must be eligible to work in the UK -Mechanical Engineering Degree qualified (HNC/HND Considered) -FEA use Capability, Structural hand calculations, and experience with Mathcad would be advantageous -Competent on a 3D CAD Packages -Pipeline design experience -Minimum 5 years engineering experience within a similar industry -Offshore / Subsea engineering experience would be beneficial Benefits: -Competitive Salary -Company Pension Scheme -Life Assurance -Income Protection Scheme -Private Medical Insurance -Training and Development -Sponsorship of Professional Membership For consideration, please send your up to date CV to Mudiwa Mtungi at Huxley Associates
