Design Engineer Job

Yoh Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist Aerospace design and manufacturer based in the Northwest area. They are currently going through a large recruitment drive due an increased workload in their design office. They work with some of the most well established Airlines globally and offer a bespoke engineering service to their clients to help support design changes across all interior aspects the aircraft. The projects they are involved in quite often involve modification to aircraft seating and other interior components around center consoles and inflight entertainment systems.

The Role;

- To provide Engineering and Design support the projects team and existing team of Design Engineers.
- Using Solidworks, reverse engineer existing designs and create new models and solutions for their clients
- Liaise with various departments including manufacturing to ensure designs meet manufacturing parameters and capabilities.
- Projects may include seating mechanisms or trim, interior stowage compartment design.

Skills and experience required;

- Skilled Solidworks user
- Strong Mechanical background
- Candidates DON'T require Aerospace experience
- Knowledgeable various manufacturing method, ie sheet metal, plastic injection molding.
