DESIGN ENGINEER FOR TEST RIG SUPPORT: FEM SOFTWARE AND COMPUTATIONS, CATIA V5, DATA MANAGEMENT TOOLS.
Design Engineer, Test rig support. Catia V5, Data Management tools, VPM. We are currently looking for a design engineer for test rig support for one of our clients in the aerospace industry. You will be in charge of various tests at various levels of the standard test pyramid. In the frame of this group, a number of activities are to be covered: test rig design and sizing, sensor installation drawings etc. While the project design team is in charge of flight standard components, you will have to carry out those tasks associated to rig design according to each test leader and test facility requirement.
Mandatory requirements:
-At least 5 years experience in structural design and sizing. Experience in test installation design will be an advantage.
-Minimum 3 to 5 years experience of CATIA V5 on concept, detail and assembly design.
-Knowledge of manufacturing processes and associated capabilities and tolerances.
-Knowledge of analytical sizing methods and capability to achieve efficient design to cost conception.
-Capability to issue sizing reports associated to Test Rig designed.
-Basic knowledge of measurement techniques and electrical principles for test installation design (Specimen grounding, test rig and installation grounding. No detailed knowledge of control or acquisition expected).
-Fluent in English language (written for reports and spoken to attend and communicate during meetings).
Optional requirements:
-Knowledge of FEM software and computations.
-Knowledge in CATIA V6.
-Knowledge of Data Management tools like VPM.
You will work mainly in Brussels, Belgium but could be solicited to attend meetings or to be integrated into on site external team to help solving Test Rig issues.
