Design Engineer - Contract - Lanarkshire

Progressive Global Energy are currently looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to join one of the largest oil service providers based in Lanarkshire. This role will be offered on a 12 months contract and has the scope to provide 3 years + of work. Working within the Global Product development team you can expect to earn £30-45per. Below are some of the Key responsibilities; *Generate conceptual designs or customise existing designs and prepare design layouts using 2D (Microstation) or 3D (Unigraphics) drawing packages *Verify design where necessary using classical analysis as well as FEA techniques and formalise for inclusion in product design files and design documentation *Champion design proposals during design reviews *Prepare part reports, review detail drawings prepared from design layouts and make necessary engineering changes *Run small sales orders or research projects as a Lead Engineer *Develop junior members of the department through technical coaching and mentoring. Oil and Gas experience is preferred however this is not a necessity.
