Design Engineer - NX 7.5/Lead Design Engineer

Location: Coventry

Contract Rate: Circa £35.00 per hour

Contract Length: 12 months.

The Role:

As Design Engineer you will be responsible for leading an engine systems design project from concept through to production. Using NX 7.5, the Design Engineer will produce concept designs of valve-trains, lubrication systems and exhaust systems for heavy diesel engines, and will liaise with suppliers to ensure detailing work produced remotely is correct. The Design Engineer will liaise closely with customers to ensure that the project meets customer requirements. The Design Engineer will also work with other departments to ensure that the project meets internal timescales.

The Candidate:

As a Design Engineer, you will have experience of producing 3D and 2D automotive designs using NX 7.5. Ideally you will have worked with the design of heavy duty diesel engines and may have worked with valve-trains, powertrains, or exhaust systems. You should also have good communication skills, as you will be liaising closely with customers and suppliers.
