Design Engineer

Design Engineer (Permeant Way) required immediately for a 5 month contract  to work for a major Infrastructure Company. You will  provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements, produce design calculations and drawings. Direct Assistant Designers and CAD technicians, and other personnel as required and contribute to the production of design investigations, reports and specifications.

The ideal candidate would have the following experience:

*HNC with 3 - 5 years experience or experienced Engineering Graduate. Awareness of construction methods and materials.

*A working knowledge of office applications, CAD and CAD standards

*Ability to work in MX Rail and/or Bentley Rail track

*Engineering Drawing Practices.

*Ability to plan and produce compliant alignment design unsupervised.

*Knowledge of trackform, track system and  base components and track system identification

*Railway and railway environment configuration

*Ability to use ClearRoute and understand clearances and clearance issues

*Understand implications and effects of multi-disciplinary design environments
