Design Engineer

Structural systems and components Design Engineer opening for someone with experience in gas turbine or a similar high tech industry (automotive experience is acceptable). This is a long term contract, possible temp to hire position. Local candidates or those able to self relocate preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan, perform, and direct design activities for structural systems and components
- Perform engineering analysis and documents results
- Facilitate teamwork between multiple disciplines including CAD modelers, stress analysts, project managers
- Provide technical support and communication with personnel in other locations
- Communicate technical and business results via reports and presentations

REQUIREMENTS

- B.S. Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5 - 10 years experience in gas turbine or similar high tech industry (automotive experience is acceptable)
- A high level of analytical ability to deal with challenging engineering problems
- Interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, to work effectively in a team environment
- Good command of the English language for both written and oral communication
