Projektbeschreibung
Leading industrial manufacturer seeks a skilled Design Engineer with program manager responsibilities in southwest Virginia (Washington County south of Lebanon). This is a three-month full-time temp-hire position with benefits package. Per diem is available for qualifying candidates. Must have strong project and program management experience in industrial manufacturing and some 3D design engineering experience with either NX, Unigraphics, Pro-E, Solidworks or Solid Edge. Experience in an injection molding environment is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will work on the development of molds, fixtures, tools, test equipment and production equipment for automotive / heavy truck component parts utilizing Advance Quality Product Planning (APQP).
- You will be responsible for managing all portions of developing a part from the approved design and bringing it into production.
- Support development of automotive / heavy truck components utilizing design software (Unigraphics / Pro-Engineer) by performing preliminary 3-D design work
- Provide design guidance, project documentation, ensure adherence to established drawing specifications, and coordinate and work with suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing, and engineering to complete assigned engineering projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- You must have at least an Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field, with at least 5 years experience in an industrial manufacturing, automotive or automotive components manufacturing aerospace or related environment
- Must have experience with and proficiency in 3D modeling, engineering and AutoCAD. NX, NX-4, Unigraphics or Pro-E preferred. Will also consider Solidworks or Solid Edge.
- Must have proven project management skills that include tracking project budgets, schedules, bill of materials (BOM), design changes, procurement, etc.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office Project for creating and maintaining program Gantt charts, and experienced with all of Microsoft office (Word, Excell, PowerPoint. Familiarity with CMM and interpretation of data is a plus.
- Knowledge of injection molding, exterior body for heavy trucks and construction, plastics, steel hardware components and manufacturing processes is desirable.
- Must be able and willing to travel 1-4 times a month.
