I am currently representing a Key Accont looking for several Mechanical Design Draughtsmen for their growing Engineering in team in Dyce. My client specialise in Downhole Electronics and are a market leader with little competition to their unique products. The successful applicant will work within a team of Mechanical Engineers and Draughters, dealing with all mechanical aspects of the client's equipment and systems. Job Description Generate drawings and procedures and assist in the design and development of new and existing tools. Generate and maintain appropriate documentation to record the design and development phase. The ideal candidate will have Autodesk Inventor and Vault experience, although other solid modelling and detailing experience will be considered. Principal Responsibilities: Generate CAD drawings (layouts, assemblies, detail, client etc); Generate procedures (assembly, test etc); Generate engineering test reports; Perform test build of new equipment; Perform prototype testing; Advising on ordering of equipment for new tools and development work; Participate in design reviews; Support internal and external customers on technical queries; Maintain design files Support operations by working at client sites (onshore and offshore); Required Knowledge/Experience: CAD applications (Ideally Autodesk Inventor); MS Office applications; Mechanical components; Oilfield downhole tools.
