Design Coordinator Job

DESIGN COORDINATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in NEW YORK, NY

THE BIG PICTURE- TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or digital design, visual communications or related study
- Portfolio demonstrating a variety of visual layout and design work
- Minimum two to three (2-3) years' experience working as a presentation or graphic design professional in a corporate design department or similar position in a related industry
- Must be proficient in both MAC and PC computers
- Extensive knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator required
- Expert in PowerPoint, Word and Excel

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Create visually compelling communications and successfully manage all phases of assigned projects from initiation through completion
- This person will develop design solutions for a variety of projects including presentations, collateral, mock-ups, storyboards, signage, premiums, invitations, newsletters and email blasts
- This role reports to the Lead Designer, Portfolio Sales Marketing
- Demonstrates ability to quickly translate marketing objectives and strategies into best-in-class presentations and marketing communications
- Maintains standards on all deliverables and identifies, develops and utilizes best practices
- Proofs deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy and aesthetics
- Manages and executes against multiple projects, and works efficiently against tight deadlines
- Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, sharing ideas and insights, supporting a culture of professionalism, respect and creativity
- Maintains close relationship with Portfolio Sales Marketing team and all other applicable divisions in development and execution of all assigned creative projects
- Acts as a subject matter expert on software and tools related to data delivery, particularly in the area of PowerPoint and other potential tools for delivering data to clients
- Monitors deliverable schedules, communicates timing issues/delays with manager and internal departments
- Stays on the edge of the latest design and digital trends and possesses thorough understanding of information design, typography, print and visual design
- Builds and maintains cross-portfolio asset and stock-photo resource library

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Must have a positive attitude and excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and all other levels of personnel
- Must have knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation and English usage
- Must have the ability to pay close attention to details and understand written and oral instructions
- Must have the ability to work well under time constraints and prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently, under direction and with others
