Design Automation Engineer

Our client is the leading computer components manufacturing company looking for a qualified DESIGN AUTOMATION ENGINEER for layout productivity improving automation and environment development. Primary responsibilities will focus on architecting and development of a good set of layout automation capabilities and supporting mask designers on good layout practices

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support mask designers on layout issues.
- Cleanup a backlog of issues/tickets within the layout domain.
- Provide training to MDs on best known practices on use of Virtuoso for layout work.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Proficiency in Cadence SKILL and Perl programming
- Thorough understanding VLSI layout concepts
- 5+ years of experience in doing layout cleanup and developing layout automation capabilities
- Must have BSCS, MSCS, BSEE or MSEE or other engineering field with at least 5 years of recent EDA/DA experience
- Specific experience in Linux, design flows, environments, and QA required
- Strong proficiency in Skill, Perl and TCL in a Linux/Unix environment required
