JOB DUTIES:

-Design history file review to collect, review, and update as necessary
-Risk assessment and Design FMEA documentation on existing market released devices
-May provide leadership to others
-Prepare, review and approve QualificationTest Plans and Reports for assigned projects
-Provide technical support for technicians performing the testing
-Assure the resolution of all issues raised by the testing
-Prepare, review and approve Reliability Predictions for assigned projects
-Support Materials Quality Engineering by providing reliability input in the evaluation of discrepant material and in   the qualification of new material to assure that device reliability   requirements are met
-Take on special projects in which only the results are specified and complete them on schedule.
-This may involve making presentations/recommendations to management.

*Senior and Principal level Design Assurance Engineer.

Description Details:

*Provide reliability engineering technical support for product development activities; plan, coordinate, and execute against product development project schedules; perform DHF audits, identify gaps, and determine sampling strategies resulting in a written proposal.

*Define reliability activities and drive any failure root cause analysis required.

*Assure the timely, accurate and independent evaluation of product performance and compliance to safety and regulatory requirements.

*A strong statistical background, hands on design assurance engineering experience, familiarity with MDT systems, and experience with Six Sigma methodologies is required.

*Excellent written and verbal communication is a must.

*This position will partner with and provide technical support to more senior design assurance engineers.
