Design / Applications Engineer

Located inLancashire, this fantastic role is for a highly successful company specialises in designing, developing and the manufacture of high performance moulded elastomer seals and rubber components for use in critical applications in industries around the world. Due to the changing needs of the business, internal promotions and a large increase in projects we are now urgently seeking to an experienced and resourceful Applications / Design Engineer to join the expanding Product Development Department, ideally from a flexible, batch manufacturing background. Candidates with knowledge of the offshore renewable industry or oil and gas would have a distinct advantage. Working within a committed Engineering team, the successful candidates will be responsible for new product development projects, from customer RFQ through commercial feasibility to product launch and production. The role requires familiarisation with a wide range of materials, including metal pressings, turnings, injection mouldings, rubber, plastics and polyurethane elastomers.
