Design and Technology Asst - KS3 & KS4 - Challenging Behaviours

Design & Technology Assistant to work in Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Portsmouth - KS3 & KS4 - Challenging Behaviours - £55-60 per day + expenses (including mileage) - to start as soon as possible. This is a 4.5 days a week position and is ongoing with the possibility of permanency for those who are interested.

Expectations:
To support pupils and the teacher in Design & Technology lessons both practical and theory. Pupils have varying levels of challenging behaviours. Candidates must be aware that they will be working in a high risk environment so previous experience of working in a similar setting with be an advantage. The class sizes are smaller due to the nature of SEN the school caters for.

We successful candidate will:
* Will have a good knowledge of Design & Technology, Woodwork in particular
* Have experience of working in an SEN setting, preferably with children with challenging behaviours/EBD
* Enjoy working as part of a team
* Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communication with staff, parents and students
