Design and development engineer required for a leading manufacturer based in Buckinghamshire.
The Role
Mechanical design of analytical instrumentation and accessories, including:
* Conceptualization
* Modeling
* Detailed part design
* Build, commission and evaluate sub-systems and prototypes
* Produce technical project reports
Requirements:
At least 5 years experience in the mechanical design and development of electro-mechanical instrumentation
Ability to understand system requirements and develop optimal design proposals through theoretical analysis and modelling with due consideration of manufacturing tolerances
Experience of mechanical CAD software
Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, castings and plastic moulding manufacturing processes and materials
Ability to design for cost effective manufacturing, assembly, and serviceability
