Design and Delivery Engineering Manager

Design and Delivery Engineering Manager required to be responsible for leading a multi-disciplined engineering team that is focused on developing solutions for the integration of advanced mission and vehicle systems onto military vehicle platforms. The role will require close liaison and co-operation with engineering leads in other domain areas eg platform physical architecture, software development and systems integration. The candidate must be a team player who is prepared to lead from the front and work with a multi-national engineering team and the customer community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the below tasks:
Responsible for the engineering management of the Design Delivery Systems Engineering Team within the Engineering Org Structure.
Provide engineering leadership to the Lead Systems Architect, Domain Architects and the System Engineering Team to enable successful completion of the system engineering activities.
Provide weekly status reports (PCTR) to the Lead Engineer.
Responsible for the functional system design such that all mission and vehicle systems are integratable, and once integrated, are both functionally safe and compliant to Customer needs.
Responsible for specifying, implementing, documenting and reporting the system design solution.
Responsible for liaising with other domain leads eg physical architecture, software development and systems integration.
Responsible for representing the project team at various reviews including Customer Design Reviews, Functional Safety Reviews and Programmatic Reviews.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Degree or equivalent in system/electrical/electronic engineering.
Extensive system/electrical/electronic engineering design experience.
Military Land platform electrical and electronic system design experience.
Applied working knowledge of system engineering process.
Experience with power supply specification and energy storage devices.
Ability to use a system engineering design tools.
Ability to Liaise with and present information to multi-disciplined team members.
Ability to interpret system design requirements and propose appropriate design solutions.
Willing to travel within the UK and overseas.
Familiarity with British Army Land mobile Platforms.
Familiar with relevant Defence Standards, Military Standards and EC Directives.
Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
