Design and Configuration Engineer - Eindhoven

5-month contract 350-400 euros per day

We are looking for a Design and Configuration Engineer to join one of our clients in Eindhoven on a 5-month contract. The successful candidate will have experience in integrating software components into a coherent product.

THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE:

-Define, set up, and maintain the project's build/tool environment.
- Discusses and decides together with the project manager, architect, and tech leads how to configure software branches/streams, how to set up change/event management in Jira, etc.
- Integrates software components (internal, external) into a coherent product.
- Combines build results and other components (eg, maps, voices, tooling, etc.) into release packages.
- Supports the product manager in defining SKU contents, and builds the defined SKUs.
- Executes tests to proof the testability of the product operating in its target environment.
- Writes Release Notes to accompany developed products and releases.
- Coordinates change requests and problem reports, is a member of the project's CCB, and monitors status of issues.
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves issues To be effective in the above, Integrators will have strong working relationships with the project's architect(s) and tech leads, members of the scrum team(s), the Project Manager, Product Owner(s), and Quality Assurance

ACTIVITIES

-Prepare the project's Configuration Management Plan
- Maintain the project archive content regarding code
- Integrate code branches when more than one branch is being used
- Perform code drops to the master code line
- Create and maintain build scripts for generating the required code configurations
- Take responsibility for correct execution of smoke tests, regression tests, code quality measurements, product KPI measurements, etc.
- Plan product integration activities in line with the overall project schedule
- Create code baselines
- Write release notes for every formal baseline
- Participate in baseline audits
- Create a build procedure that enables the archive, restore, and rebuild activities
- Create archive of release
- Prepare the project's Integrator Handbook enabling a smooth transfer to the Maintenance organization
- Support the teams with configuration/build/tool/run-time related issues
