Derivatives Support Analyst

Job Description

* Being a first point of contact for the Front Office, P&L team, other Business partners and derivatives customers
* Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments
* Proactive identification and resolution of problem hotspots
* Supporting derivitives products and performing daily reconciliations to ensure that the team operates in a safe and controlled environment in order to minimize operational risk
* Responsible for Trade validation and Trade Event management and reporting
* Build Yield Curve and Option Volatility surfaces to ensure correct P&L and Risk calculation
* Being actively engaged in business process re-engineering including system implementations. Identify system issues and limitations and propose solutions/requirements to further build out the required technology.

Desired Skills

* Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience (Operations, Middle Office, Derivatives), Derivatives experience a MUST
* Strong Excel skills (VBA and/or SQL skills plus)
* Must be able to fully understand the impact of current and future IT developments on existing Trade Support processes and play a role in their implementation.
* Ensures effective planning and execution of client deliverables on a timely basis
* The candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably with an Accounting, Finance or Economics major
* Must be a highly motivated team player who can be flexible in his/her approach and able/willing to question existing procedures and processes in order to improve them.
* Good written/verbal communication skills.
